Enjoyed the stunning mountain views and had fun at the swimming pool, hot tub, and playground. Also went bird watching and horse riding in Svarfadardal Valley, which was a blast!
Oh, I just loved sharing shower facilities with the whole swimming pool. So refreshing!

I absolutely adored the charming decoration of the cottage I stayed at. It had a cozy, homey feel with beautiful traditional Icelandic elements. The common areas were also very welcoming and had comfortable seating, making it perfect for senior people like me to relax and enjoy some quiet time. Additionally, it was very convenient for us seniors to move around the hotel as there were no stairs to climb, ensuring easy accessibility for everyone.
Personally, I would have loved to have a grab bar in the shower to ensure better safety for senior people. However, I understand that this may not be a priority for everyone and it did not hinder the overall enjoyment of my vacation.

We had a delightful stay at a cozy cottage in Dalvik. The owner was incredibly friendly and even loaned my mom some birding books. The cottage comfortably fit our family of four, and my son loved the hot tub and trampoline. Plus, it was conveniently close to the Grimsey Ferry. a great experience and I highly recommend it.

During our honeymoon, my husband and I stayed at Vegamot Cottages for 2 nights and it exceeded our expectations. The owner, Bjarni, was incredibly kind and accommodating. The cottage itself was adorable and cozy, with a comfortable double bed and all the amenities we needed. The highlight was definitely the hot tub, outdoor shower, and barrel sauna, which were a luxurious treat after a cold day on Grímsey island. Additionally, the location was perfect, with easy parking right next to the cottage.
Would recommend this hotel.

The owner was very accommodating and filled the hot tub for us late at night, which was perfect after a long day of traveling. The coziness of the cottages made us feel right at home, and they were always warm, even during the cold winter weather. the well-equipped kitchen allowed us to easily prepare our meals.
Although the cottages were comfortable, the lack of a shower in the individual cottages was a bit inconvenient. We were able to use the showers in a nearby hostel, but it would have been more convenient to have one in our own cottage.

Friendly owner recommended nearby dinner options; we loved the fish soup. Small, cozy cottage; quaint and fun. Manager, Bjarni, was accommodating, enthusiastic, and found things for us to do. Perfect stay for our honeymoon; adorable and cozy cottage with a comfortable bed. Bjarni was the nicest host, showing us around his charming cafe with fascinating stories. Dalvík is a charming seaside town with unique attractions like the beer bath and Grímsey Island. Recommended.

I recently stayed at Dalvik Vegamot Cottages for one night with two others. The cozy cottages had a jacuzzi outside, perfect for enjoying the chilly weather. The kitchenette allowed us to cook our own meals, and the comfortable bed and sofabed ensured a good night's sleep. The owner was extremely helpful and accommodating, even allowing us to use the nearby public pool's showers at no extra cost. The surrounding nature and abundance of birdlife made for a serene and picturesque atmosphere.
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.
